Summertime!!
Once again it's been much too long to have not blogged about recent happenings in the Martin house. July was a great summer month full of lots of fun and a ton of family! We started the month of celebrating Independence Day with the Georgia Martins! Dad, Cindy and Grandma traveled down to see us for the long weekend. We visited old St Augustine, the beach, and were able to see a great fireworks display at the downtown Jacksonville Landing. Was a great time, and was so great to see all of them!

Florida Martin family... ALL OF US!!On the 7th of July we were able to take a real vacation and headed out to Denver to celebrate Grandma and Grandpa Mortensen's 60th wedding anniversary. We had such a great time and were so thankful to have been able to see so much of our Martin and Rosendale families and some of our closest Colorado friends, quite a few that we haven't seen or our kids hadn't seen in over a year!
In addition to the big anniversary celebration for grandma and grandpa which included a yummy dinner at the church and a picnic lunch at the park near their house, we were able to go to a Rockies game and Elitches with the kids.
While Chad and I were only able to stay for a week, all the kids were able to continue their vacation with the family for an additional 2 weeks... arriving back home on the 27th. They had a BLAST being able to float from house to house! First at the Sandovals, then with G'ma Rolayne. A few nights with uncle Mike and his family, and providing "home base" for most of the time with Nana and Papa. I think the highlight of their trip was the weekend trip to Glenwood Springs with Mike and all his family.
